Ben Stiller and his waxwork pals Return from War Museum set mayhem in the kid friendly night at the museum, too. It’s not quite as good as the unfairly maligned first installment, but if you’re a parent, this is a foolproof way of filling a slot over the coming back holiday weekend time around. Larry Daley has ditched his job as a night watchman at the Museum of Natural History, where, as you may recall, the exhibits have a habit of coming to life. But when they’re shipped off to the Smithsonian and face a battle with an evil pharaoh who’s bent on world domination, Larry is called upon to come and help save the day to see you, Mr. Big, and the bridges himself.
This is the Smithsonian’s the big leagues.
I have come to life. Yeah, no, I heard that, I got that. Welcome back. It’s a matter of life and death. I want to go no go for launch, no go. I say no go. Great Gatsby. You two make an adorable couple. Oh, no, we’re not.
I mean, we’re not I’m not. I mean, we’re not. Blah, blah, blah.
I never lied to the cast, including Amy Adams, Owen Wilson and Steve Coogan. Plus small turns, Robin Williams, Ricky Gervais. It all makes for a very decent experience for the under 12 as the museum is brought to life to winning effect.
Their parents, on the other hand, should exhibit caution and perhaps give this one a miss overall, three out of five.
