At the Museum of Natural History, there’s a new exhibit being unveiled. Larry Daley, who manages the night exhibit where the exhibits come to life because of the Tablet of Ahkmenrah, is in charge of the presentation. But when the exhibits go awry, Larry finds himself in trouble. He learns the Tablet is corroding so he does some research and learns that Cecil, the former museum guard, was at the site when the Tablet was discovered. He tells Larry they were warned if they remove it could mean the end. Larry realizes it means the end of the magic. He talks to Ahkmenrah who says that he doesn’t know anything. I love the first two, not museum films, so when I heard that they were making another, I was overjoyed.
The first two movies had action adventure, great comedy, great characters and a lot of historical facts thrown in at the museum. Night at the Museum Secret of the Tomb is a scene. Great movie as the last in this movie. The Tablet of Armin Rather brings this museum exhibit to Life is slowly losing power and the only person who knows how to fix it is often one’s father, Berengar, played by Ben Kingsley.
So Larry Daley, played by Ben Stiller and his son Nick, as well as Armstrong and Teddy Roosevelt, played by the late Robert Lloyd. I have to travel to London to find America.
Right along the way, they meet up with Sir Lancelot, a caveman that looks an awful lot like Larry Daley and the Comic Relief played by Rebel Wilson. The movie has a very fast paced story that makes it go by fast.
It has some great plot twists with who the antagonist is and great cameos that come from that.
I only have two problems with the movie and they’re very minor. The first is what they were, I suppose, trying to do with the character of Artemis. It’s nothing severe. It’s pretty much the same characters in the other movies, but it leads to some really awkward and forced moments.
The other problem I have, which I can completely overlook, is the fact that with Batman reuniting with his parents, they never mention his brother Common-Law, who was the villain in the second movie played by Hank Azaria.
But those problems, again, are very minor. And if I had to give this movie a reading, it would be four point five Capuchin monkeys taking a piss out of five.
