Full text transcript of the Bombshell film critique

Today, when we talk about the new drama Bombshell directed by Jay Roach, so let’s get started. What’s up, everybody, Justin, here today, I want to talk about the new drama Bombshell, which stars Charlize Theron, Margot Robbie, Nicole Kidman, John Lithgow, Kate McKinnon and plenty of other people. This film centers upon female Fox News personnel and their allegations against founder Roger Ailes. This was a big story a few years ago with Roger Ailes, CEO of Fox News and a few female Fox News workers that came forward with allegations against sexual harassment against him. Jay Roach directed this film, and Jay Roach is an interesting director. You want some goofy comedies? Here’s Austin Powers. You want a good drama. Here’s Trumbo and Bombshell for you. He also directed the Meet the Parents movies. He’s got a fascinating film career. I was curious to see Bombshell and offer the trailers and the posters. I was really curious about the makeup in this movie. The makeup for Charlize Theron as Megan Kelly is unbelievable. Charlize Theron does not look like Charlize Theron. She looks like Megan Kelly. The makeup for John Lithgow as Roger Ailes is terrific as well. There’s a lot of effort to make it feel like it was the real deal. They also integrate a lot of Charlize Theron and other people who worked alongside her into the presidential debates with Trump and to interviews. It all looks real list. So not only is the makeup for the movie really spectacular, the integration I found to be really believable as well. This movie is really tense. I found this movie to be a well gripping film in the different perspectives from the people that were sexually harassed by Roger Ailes.

It’s something that is heartbreaking. You don’t want to see anybody go through this. Yeah, Margot, Robbie and the movie. And you see her sexually harassed. You have Nicole Kidman as Gretchen Carlson and Charlize Theron as Megan Kelly here. They’re different sides of the story. And you have other people that come forward as well. This movie is kind of set up that similar style to the Laundromat and the Big Short, where it’s kind of like a political drama. And then you have the people that are talking to the camera and kind of explaining things to you. It’s in that it’s in that same kind of style. I think it really works. It keeps the movie kind of upbeat and fast paced. And I don’t want to use the word entertaining to describe that. But the way that Megan Kelly describes certain scenarios and things with Trump do provide a lot of quick wit to the movie. Jay Roach handles the moments of these sexual harassment very well. He makes it something harsh to see, tense and heartbreaking as well. And he handles some of those lighter moments pretty good as well. Some of those lighter moments include Margot Robbie and Kate McCann in the movie. They have a pretty fun relationship and it has for some jokes throughout the movie. Someone else I didn’t recognize was Allison Janney. She’s in the movie as well as Connie Britton. There’s so many people in this movie and with introductions of so many different people in the movie, you can get the sense that this is a really important situation that these women at Fox News are in.

So Jay Roach is just not throwing all these people in here because they’re real people and he wants to have a bunch of actors in the movie. He’s throwing them in there because they play a significant part in this story. I was impressed with the approach for the story. And the makeup overall is really spectacular. Some of the best makeup I’ve seen this year. So if I give you my final thoughts and score for Bombshell, make sure the subscribe button Damboa cooked that vilifications. More up and coming videos. If you guys like this video at any point, make sure to give it a thumbs up. You guys can also check out recent reviews right up here. I’ve been reviewing a lot of Oscar contenders and I’m not sure Mom. So it will be an Oscar contender maybe for makeup, but it’s still a really good film. So bombshell, great makeup. I love the approach to the story. Jay Roach is an interesting director and he handles some of the moments really well with some of those tense moments when people are coming forward with sexual allegations, some of those hard moments throughout kind of just mix well together. I’ll go ahead and give Bombshell a B plus. The guys are checking my review for Bombshell. Have you guys seen it? What is the matter with me on the comments section down below? And stay tuned for more up and coming movie reviews. My name is just watching movies. And you guys stay classy, too.
