[00:00:07] Hello, Chauvel. Well, what the hell is this movie you probably never heard of because half the people in Los Angeles who I told them I was going to see the woman in gold, no one knew what it was. It’s Helen Mirren. It’s Deadpool. They’re in a movie together.

[00:00:17] Disappointingly, it’s not about Dot Matrix from Spaceballs, but it’s one of those surprises you get, you know, ramping up to the summer season. We’re seeing Furious seven and we’re almost seeing The Avengers, too, and Mad Max and all these cool summer movies where it goes really good.

[00:00:30] I really like this movie. People have been taking a shit on this thing. And I think that it is a really fun way.

[00:00:34] Anybody’s been doing that.

[00:00:35] I’m reading I’ve read some reviews or people saying how it’s melodramatic and it’s cliched. I it will call me a melodramatic, cliched fearis. I really bought this movie. I love the back and forth. But basically this is what Philomena means. If Monuments was good,

[00:00:52] Monuments Men was good. Yeah. I mean, you do have elements of longing for something that you used to own or belong to you. And you have the Nazis. They the Nazis say what you want about them. They love them some arts. I mean, they would steal all sorts of artifacts and nice pieces, paintings, musical things from from people’s whose house they raided. And then they’d round up people and send them off to evil camps. Now, what happened with this particular story is that this woman in Austria, she her family had all of these very lucrative families as a very yeah, they were very well off. And there was a particular painting that was known as the Woman in Gold that the Nazis in France when the Austrian government recovered, that they put it in a museum as opposed to returning it to her and her family, which is what the actual will stated. So now a legal battle ensues. But don’t worry, Christian, your lawyer is the real passion, social pressure.

[00:01:42] You’re right. It’s the Green Lantern. You know, you do this to you. It’s nineteen ninety nine. This is when the story takes place. There’s a restoration program in Austria, so they’re going to go find it. But the government is kind of saying they’re going to help out. They’re not really going to be giving

[00:01:56] Them the roundabout. They can’t handle us.

[00:01:58] So Ryan Reynolds, who want to try to do his own firm at one point, now working at a big firm saying they want to help you, but things kind of go here and there they go. And what’s great about this while they’re going through this trial is the flashbacks to the forties.

[00:02:14] Yeah, you can watch two different stories going on in the flashbacks really started to help me. I was I wasn’t snoozing, but I was like, all right, this is this is going to be a cute story. It’s a fine movie to take my mom to. And then about 30, 45 minutes in one of the flashbacks just, oh, man, it really got its hooks into me. And I was pretty enthralled by the rest of this film.

[00:02:36] I’m going to talk about how great Ryan Reynolds was in a role that you’ve never seen him like before. I don’t think he was great, wasn’t an action star. He wasn’t playing a bumbling romantic comedy to be on a story.

[00:02:46] It’s always held at any time. Helen Mirren. And it’s all about Helen Mirren. Oh, someone

[00:02:49] Talking about how great Helen Mirren was. She was great,

[00:02:51] But he scored.

[00:02:55] I guess we’re getting the right side. I’m going to give this four out of five smiles. All right. Way to go.

[00:03:00] Woman And gold, just a little lower, I thought was a little melodramatic and a little cliched. Three point eight at a five schmoes high Smallville. Well, how about you? The first question is, have you ever heard of this movie? Come and tell us that first, either yes or no and then whether or not you want to see it just because Deadpool hit AC Slater in the face for the television.
