Full-text transcript of the film review:

[00:00:18] Mark, we’re getting you out. Go, go, go. After three o’clock. Brace right back. Hello, Snowville. Well, it is time for another review, and this time it’s a sequel and it is London has all it well might go back to. Actually, Mr. President, this is what we wanted. Christian, right? Just a dumb 90s action movie. And is it good? No, I’m going to go to fresh. Maybe I’m debating because you can have a lot of fun with a really ridiculous premise. It’s a ridiculous movie all the way around. But it is it is something I feel like when I used to watch like Van Damme and Seagal movies, like I didn’t go to watch, like, the best story. I want to go over the top. Crazy violence. A lot of nutty shit going down. And that’s what happens in this movie. Gerard Butler is he’s still the he is still the Secret Service to Aaron Eckhart, a president who might be the worst president of all time, but they pass up the relationship. This is a bad painting of Olympus has fallen. They maybe weren’t on they weren’t really seeing eye to eye and they had kind of straight relationship, the events that movie play out. And now they are thick as thieves. And then this new thing happens. Christian, we got to go to London because something went down. Everybody, all the world leaders are collecting there, which means it’s a high priority target for both security and for bad guys, this dopey movie.

[00:01:37] But it it’s it really you can have a lot of fun with this film for sure, because if you kind of kick back to the old school under Siege movies and like we were talking about before, Steven Seagal and all those types of movies, you get that type of violence. There is a one guy. There’s no way they’re going to take him down no matter what. He can go in there and take out any guys by himself. And he knows he can and he knows he can. And that’s what your brother brings to this role. I thought that was really fun. Morgan Freeman’s in this movie. Aaron Eckhart is completely worthless as the president. I don’t. I don’t. It’s just this the whole time. Oh, what we I didn’t think he was as worthless in this one as he was last time. Really. It’s more of a chance to show that he at least has some acting chops for being a president. I mean, look, you want a really funny premise, throw Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton into this mess. That’s not where you want to see. There’s a lot of acting talent in this film. I mean, you have Angela Bassett also. You have Jackie Hill is in there, too. I like the girl. The girl, the one the MI6 agent.

[00:02:34] She was really good girl. She looks a lot like Emma Watson. But it wasn’t until Emma Watson was Sandra Bullock. I will I’m going to throw this at you and I want you to go with this movie is so ridiculous. But it’s the it’s naked gun through a funhouse mirror. And what I mean by that is we’re Naked Gun had a lot of silliness around it, but the leads took it very seriously. That’s why it works so well here. This movie takes itself so seriously. But the two weeks, particularly Gerard Butler, know is such a stupid premise that they have a lot of fun with their life. And it worked for the movie. He certainly is. There are a lot of cringe worthy one liners that they throw in there, right? Yeah. Can you name the two Arnold Schwarzenegger allies that that they do in this one? Get to the chopper, then you get the chopper and there’s another one. I don’t know if we keep it a surprise. No, I’ll be back. Oh, no, I didn’t even hear it. And he does two of them together. Chopper, I’ll be back. I wonder if it’s thrown in there or done because it’s an action movie and they just don’t realize. Just nod to Schwartz. Angela Bassett completely underused in the movie. I wish she would have had a little bit more to do.

[00:03:32] Sure. But yeah, I, I like watching this movie. Yes. Is this a good movie. And can I send you to the theater and say you should go watch a great movie. I can’t do that. Can I tell you that if you want to go just watch a fun action movie they should go. Yes. The CGI is a Bismullah. It’s real. It’s really bad. I no, I like the director. God forbid I can’t get the guy’s name right, but he he he has talent when it comes to setting up the action scenes. I like the close combat like down the street stuff and the fights. But when you show the huge epic sweeping shots of London, actually London Bridge falling down, that kind of stuff. Horrible incident. Yeah, my eyes were to a place now that we can pick up the CGI stuff so quick that it like, that’s not real. I’m out of it happens too often. We also know that watching this movie, it’s like I want to see better CGI, but it’s also like I’m not going to be pissed off because I don’t believe the Big Ben wasn’t. No, no, no. It’s just it’s just that I think they could have done a better job with CGI. I was lazy overall. I still I can’t get it to fresh because it’s not a fresh movie. It’s an entertaining movie, though.

[00:04:36] Two point seventy five. Yeah, I, I, I think I’m going to go three because I had a lot of fun watching the movie. That’s what puts it over the top. Did you notice, by the way, the movie when they’re setting it up. It was boring in the beginning. They showed a long time ago. You know, when you see a movie and it shows us like the time, the day, like the place, then they’d be going around a conference room and they show you the names of like thirty different people. Is there going to be a test on this girl? We don’t care. Yeah, No. One, you’re right. You know, I didn’t care at all. And the villains were somewhat kind of laughable and not not intimidating. Hans Gruber, they were not, I would say laughable. But I also got into their story a little bit as to what was going on on that team. But, yeah, the whole movie is ridiculous. It’s a fun, stupid action movie. Take it for what it’s worth. All right. Well, we’ll check out our review of Olympus has Fallen right over there. And then our best and worst of Jerry B, right. You can call him Sergeant Butler, the title he’s earned. That’s Kristian. Mark, click our head, subscribe to this channel. Never miss another movie review ever again until, God forbid, something something happens. You have Jerry being.
