We bring your face close, like right on track right here, OK?
Hi, I’m Tony and this is a game and this is our review of Interscope. I hope you guys get closer than we get. Yeah. Can you hear us? Can you see. I can’t. Can they see us? I mean, no.
Hey, guys, the black critter guy I’m joined again by my good friend gave the last time you saw him was in.
Taken to review, yes, it was seen as a good thing you didn’t remember that there was no wrong over that, and we just got back from seeing the internship. And what did we think about this movie? Well, I loved it completely.
Yeah, this is the first time ever that we both are just on different sides of the spectrum. He loved it. I sort of liked it. So the premise of the internship is it follows these two guys. They’re like watch salesmen, right? Yes.
And their business goes under and they lose their jobs. So they really got nowhere else to go.
And one of them, played by Vince Vaughn, decides, hey, let’s get an internship at Google. And now they’re just fighting with all these other people to get a job at the prestigious Google. Now, when I first saw the trailer for this movie, I thought it could be funny. I was a little hesitant because I Google was plastered all over this movie. I bet my left foot that all the funding for this movie was from Google. Oh, yeah.
I bet you they went up to them is like, hey, you know, we’re becoming super powerful, but not a lot of people know us weird enough. Let’s make a movie.
They had a there was actually a taxi with the words Google on the bus. Yeah, Google. I wouldn’t be surprised. Like, hey, let’s jump on the Google boring all the way to Ecuador. But I had mixed feelings about the movie. What about you? When you first saw the trailer? When I first saw the trailer, I yeah. I didn’t think it was going to be that good. I was like I didn’t think I was going to watch it in the movie. I thought I was just going to, like, watch it on TV when it finally came out. One of those like rental movie. Exactly. Which Ozzy that would be what I would call it. But you on the other hand, I loved. Now, I’m very curious, Gabe. Now you really loved it. What did you really love about this movie? Oh, I love the characters.
Like they were so old school like without you won’t find them annoying. No, no.
I love the hey, your face that that that type of comedy is what I live for.
Now that is just like old school comedy, just like it was, it was like they just knew everything.
Well of course they’re back, they’re full.
Of course they go back because they’re gone with the characters, the way that they related to everything and to everyone, like all the all the side characters that were in the movie were just like they were like assholes to them because they were to do this movie is radiating with like assholes.
But doubt that’s just adding to the flavor of it. What did you think of the story?
Oh, well, look like OK, at first it wasn’t as good like it was slow.
The first part of the movie, it just was like, yeah, but like that great.
You could see it developing and like everything was just like going into the next part and it was just like, boom.
You know, I agree with your points, although I didn’t like all the characters like he did. I did like a few of the characters, namely most of the cameos loved them. Yes.
The cameo was my favorite character, believe it or not, was USCIRF Monifa as the main kind of guy I liked.
And deep down, you know, he’s going to be the hard ass and he is the hardest. I kind of like strives to believe in these guys, the pull and you don’t see it at first.
You light it and he disguises breathing on them. Just what do you exactly.
Now, for me personally, I didn’t like the first part movie. I, I laughed a few times. I didn’t like any of the characters. I thought they were really annoying. But it wasn’t until the second half of the movie where they went to the strip club. Then the movie picked up not because they were in a strip club, but like the characters start becoming more developed. They became more interesting, they became less annoying. And I was just like, OK, yeah, I’m on I’m on board with this now. But I think there’s was like sort of the plan.
If it felt it felt like it was perfect, like it was just there to like happen.
Like you’re telling me the set up of the first half was like, you hate them. But then the second half was like, exactly who’s that other side?
And it’s like all the different characters is just like even the side characters have, like the little backstory, which was still it was a big back story, like if it stayed, it stayed in there. And you knew like once you see him, you’re like, that’s that’s the douche bag.
That’s the douche bag. Oh, the douche bag. Can we talk about real quick? Sure. Yeah.
This guy, like, I never seen such a I have not seen this big of a douche since.
I can’t even think of a movie that that had a bigger Dewson. This guy was he’s almost at the same level as the douche bag in no strings attached. That’s who he reminds me of. They’re OK because he was like always hitting on Natalie Portman. He even looked at Ashton Kutcher like, you know, again, what they’re doing to stop me due to stuff. That’s what this guy reminded me of. He just kept attacking our protagonist like, dude, you’re not going to get it. Just text everybody.
Now you’re just like, seriously, what did you think of him? I hated him, but I saw why he needed to be there. Oh, yeah.
He was the cliched villain of the story. You know, we need that guy so that we can root for our main characters. Comedy was pretty good at first, I was kind of the first point, it was kind of Warnke hit and miss, but the second half, like it really kicks in, the jokes start hitting.
But honestly, like the first half, it really is hard to sit through. I mean, there’s even this really awkward scene between this character named L’Isle, which we’re going to get into. He wasn’t connecting with the audience at all. Nobody laughed and said to me, you know, even he didn’t laugh. It was just like, awkward. Well, since he’s still thinking about some of the bad aspects, let me give you guys what I didn’t like. First off, I found the movie extremely clichéd. I mean, yes, it’s going to be generic. Yes. You’re going to have the same old, same old I mean, same old like girl that just playing hard to get. She’s never been with of the guy. And then Wilson comes in, swoops her off her feet. You got the really annoying douchebag character. You’ve got the hard ass. You’ve got a lovable goofs. Like I said, the first half was unbearable. I mean, the only thing that really made it worthwhile was a cameo in the beginning that had me rolling on the floor. You don’t say who it is, but OK, well, that cameo probably sold the movie for me. I was like, OK, that was a really good cameo.
The jokes really weren’t hitting the care. Our main characters, the ones we were supposed to root for, I didn’t root for them. They were kind of annoying and they kind of got under my skin, which I guess is the purpose they were trying to get under your skin.
I just personally didn’t like it in the film. And lastly, I honestly, the cliche is just keeps going. I’m sorry. There are just a bunch of moments where I just case Paul, but my biggest problem with this film was actually the character of Lyle. I didn’t like him whatsoever. I know they were trying to make him the lovable geek guy who’s just trying to be hip and fresh. Yo, we even like, yo, what’s up? This is the Lovett.
That’s is it just makes you laugh, just thinking about it. No, I did laugh. I was like, you just stop trying to be hip just even when he was being himself. I did like and the guy comes off as annoying.
Maybe it’s the way he presented his character or just the way he is. I just didn’t like him and his old man.
His romantic relationship with this stripper girl, cliche as hell, I didn’t buy it whatsoever.
It had a lot of cliches. Yeah, I have to agree with you that, like, the first time we saw the the love prospect for Owen Wilson’s character, we all knew is like. Yeah. Like the forty seconds. That’s that easy to get with. Yeah, exactly.
Like I said, working on this. But that’s the beauty of a review like this. I don’t think I ever had a review where there was just this big split between us and it makes for an interesting video. So out of five stars, Gabe, what would you give the internship? I would have to settle on a four point five. Holy crap. This guy gave it a four point five. That’s a minus people. You gave it an eight minus. I’m not going to shoot that. I enjoyed it for what it is. Yes.
The big cliche, yes, some of the characters are annoying, but the second half kicked in and I really start enjoying the movie has some really light hearted humor. There was some touching moments, although I did feel like that was forced. But again, it really feels like an 80s movie to me. That’s why I’m going to give this film a three point five out of five stars. It’s not great, but it is a rather enjoyable film.
And if you guys get a chance to see it when it comes on June eight, I forgot to mention this was an early screening. We got to see this a month in advance. So this is an early review. Yeah. But anyway, what did you guys think of this film, The Love It?
Did you hate it? And who’s the most awkward or annoying characters scene in the film?
Come and Blow and let us know. And by the way, Gabe is going to be leaving us.
He’s going to New York. So this will be the last you see of him until the fall. Hopefully we never see another shitty movie. Oh, yeah. Again, I don’t think so. The previews that I’ve been seeing for all these movies. Oh no man is still mad. Still is going to be. He’s a big Superman and that’s why I got busted chops.
But also on a side note, stay tuned for what I like to be. I like to call Project Black Past. Bump, bump, bump, bump. Stay tuned for that. Comes out this Friday at seven p.m. so make sure you check it out. You better be checking it out, too. I will. But until next time guys hit that subscribe. But if you’re new to my channel, welcome to the black kid. A guy like this, really, if you really enjoyed it. And I’m twenty one. The second joined by Gabriel here on the black kid. A guy till then peace you to.
